Hi Chess friends! Long time no see. Chess teaching is winding down for the summer (new students cheerfully accepted, mind you) though we will still have Wood Sense Chess Club in Duncan on Mondays from 6 to (just before) 8 pm.
I'm looking at arranging a chess tournament in the Cowichan Valley. Comments welcome.

Would this be a CFC rated tournament? I am looking to pay a visit to the islands so it would be nice to play chess at the meantime.
um quick question, would someone who has little chess experience be able to come to a chess night?
